Where It All Began
Every company has an origin story. Ours began in 2004, with a simple but powerful conviction: that technology, thoughtfully applied, could make hospitals safer for patients.
A Personal Connection to Healthcare
For Rajandra, that conviction wasn’t born in a boardroom; it was deeply personal. His first exposure to the healthcare system came through caring for his mother – managing her medication, accompanying her to medical visits, and navigating the complexities of her care. After her passing, life brought another challenge when his brother suffered a stroke. Together with his wife, Rajandra once again stepped into the role of carer, sharing a home and making countless hospital visits by his brother’s side. Through years of lived experience on the other side of healthcare, he witnessed first-hand how medication errors and inefficient workflows didn’t just slow hospitals down, they took nurses away from the bedside and put patients at risk. He knew there had to be a better way.
From Conviction to Company
An Engineer by training and a seasoned entrepreneur with experience in technology solutions, Rajandra set out to build a better way. With no external funding and a strong sense of purpose, he founded Omni-Health Technologies as a division within a Singapore-based company that he had founded a few years earlier, dedicated to sourcing and delivering automation solutions to hospitals across the region.
Building from the Ground Up
The early days were defined by determination. Rajandra personally funded every step — from attending international pharmacy conferences with a close friend to secure critical distributorships, to travelling with hospital pharmacists across the globe to understand what clinicians truly needed. There were no investors and no safety net, just a founder who believed the work was worth doing.
A Breakthrough Moment
That belief was validated in 2008 when Omni-Health was awarded a landmark hospital-wide pharmacy automation contract — the first of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region. It was a breakthrough moment, not just for the company, but for the region’s healthcare landscape. To deliver on that promise, Rajandra began building a team, hiring engineers, project professionals and a support team who shared his vision.
Becoming an Independent Company
By 2009, the team had grown, the project was underway, and Rajandra took the next decisive step: incorporating Omni-Health Pte Ltd as an independent company, with himself as its sole director. What had started as a one-person mission within a larger business was now standing on its own. Around the same time, Rajandra brought on Mahendran as Regional Director to help run the whole business – a move that allowed Rajandra to focus on the bigger picture: expanding the company’s reach and growing the business across the region.
Growth Across the Region
Over the years that followed, Omni-Health expanded steadily; growing its team, deepening its expertise, and extending its reach across multiple countries. Mahendran was appointed as a director, and together, he and Rajandra guided the company through more than a decade of growth, building lasting partnerships with hospitals, aged care facilities, and healthcare organisations throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
A New Chapter of Leadership
In late 2025, Rajandra stepped back from active duties within the company, entrusting the next chapter of Omni-Health to a new management team. It was a transition built on confidence in the company’s people, its purpose, and the foundation he had spent over 20 years building.
The Mission Today
Today, Omni-Health operates across seven countries, partnering with healthcare providers to modernise systems, empower workforces, and deliver safer, more effective care. The mission that started with one person’s conviction in 2004 continues to drive everything we do.
